Immusol Inc, was a privately held biopharmaceutical company. It was based out of San Diego. In 2007 it changed its name to ItherX pharmaceuticals inc, and appointed Jeffrey McKelvy, as President, CEO, and Director. It changed its name because it wants to bring innovative therapeutic products to the marketplace. Tsvi Goldenberg, CEO of Immsol, remained as Chairman. McKlevy joined from Avera Pharmaceuticals, which was a privately held pharma-company. ItherX has a strong scientific foundation, especially with the leadership of Flossie Wong-Staal, who co-founded Immusol. With its new name change, ItherX focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of products for the oncology market and antiviral market. It looks like the company is privately financed, and is not in need of small business loans from private lenders like OnDeck, and PayPal working capital.
