How to use this calculator

  1. Enter one balance and one proposed settlement percentage for both quotes.
  2. Enter Quote A as a percentage of enrolled debt.
  3. Enter Quote B as a percentage of gross debt reduction. Review the all-in cost, not just the quoted percentages.

How the calculation works

Quote A applies its rate to the enrolled balance. Quote B applies its rate to the difference between the original balance and the proposed settlement, before fees. The tool adds the resulting fee to the settlement amount and shows net reduction after that fee. The two percentages have different bases, so equal percentages do not imply equal prices. These are hypothetical quote structures, not a statement of Delancey Street pricing.

Does this tell me whether a company is legitimate?

No. Pricing is only one part of evaluating a service. Review the agreement, scope, payment terms and supporting information.
